Does your child worry about the little things? π
Here's how you can help ease their anxiety! π
At Dr. Nisa Khalil - Child Specialist Clinic, we understand how challenging it can be to see your little ones struggle with anxiety. Whether itβs school, friendships, or even just changes in routine, these feelings can sometimes feel overwhelming for children. But the good news is, there are gentle and effective ways you can support them!
Here are three simple steps to help your child navigate anxiety:
Create a Safe Space: Let your child know that their feelings are valid, and that it's okay to be scared or anxious. Offer a comforting environment where they feel heard.
Practice Deep Breathing: Teach them a simple breathing exercise to calm their mind. Try breathing in for four counts, holding for four, and exhaling for four. This can help ease their nerves in anxious moments.
Listen Without Judgment: Sometimes, all children need is to talk about their worries. Be patient, listen attentively, and reassure them without rushing to "fix" the problem immediately.
Letβs work together to build their emotional resilience and give them the tools they need to handle lifeβs little challenges with confidence!

Weekly Tip:
π‘ Did you know? Consistency in routines, like a regular bedtime and wake-up time, can help reduce anxiety in children by providing a sense of predictability and security. Try establishing small, daily rituals to help your child feel more in control of their environment.
