Newborns: Small Bundles, Big Health Priorities! 🍼💖

Protecting Our Littlest Loves: What Every Parent (and Visitor!) Needs to Know

Hi Parents and Caregivers,

Newborns are tiny miracles, but their immune systems? Still a work in progress. 💕 While it’s natural to want to cuddle, kiss, and love on them, here’s the golden rule: No smooches without permission!

Why? Because germs don’t play fair. Even a small exposure can cause big problems for your baby’s health.

Here are 3 simple ways to keep newborns safe and sound:
1️⃣ Clean hands are happy hands: Always wash your hands before touching the baby.
2️⃣ No kisses without mom and dad’s green light: Protect their delicate immune systems by skipping face and hand kisses.
3️⃣ Feeling unwell? Admire from afar: Even minor colds can be serious for newborns.

💡 Dr. Nisa’s Parenting Tip of the Day: “Skin-to-skin contact isn’t just for newborns—it helps regulate their body temperature, boosts bonding, and can even calm a fussy baby. Try it when your little one is feeling overwhelmed!”
