Water: The Secret Ingredient to Your Child’s Health! 💧
Dear Parents,
Welcome to this week’s newsletter from Dr. Nisa Khalil – Child Specialist Clinic, where we bring you simple yet powerful insights to keep your children healthy, happy, and thriving!
💧 Hydration: A Superpower for Your Child's Health!
We all know water is important, but did you know that keeping your child well-hydrated does so much more than just quench their thirst? Staying hydrated helps improve mood, concentration, digestion, and energy levels—it’s a superpower your child needs for optimal growth! Plus, it even keeps their skin glowing!
Weekly Tip: How Much Water Should My Child Drink?
The amount of water your child needs depends on their age, size, and activity level. As a general guide:
Ages 1-3: About 4 cups (or 1 liter) of fluids per day
Ages 4-8: About 5 cups (or 1.2 liters) of fluids per day
Ages 9+: 7-8 cups (or 1.6-1.8 liters) per day
💡 Tip: Encourage your child to drink water regularly, especially during playtime or after sports. If they find plain water boring, try adding slices of fresh fruit like oranges or strawberries for a refreshing twist!
